Thank you!
Many, many thanks to all of you that supported us on this trip! Maybe you sponsored the t-shirt or you bought one. Maybe you joined us for our Evening in Paris. Maybe you bought or made some baked goods. Maybe you joined us for "Pisgah Night" at Moe's. Maybe you packed up snacks and drinks for us. Maybe you offered encouragement. Maybe you made a donation. We know that many did all of that and more. Thank you!
This had been a busy week full of growth and fun, inspiration and challenges - for the kids *and* adults. We will be sharing as much as we can over the coming weeks and months.
When you go to the youth gathering...
You walk a lot...
And you take s lot of pictures - we'll share those over the coming days.
Homeward bound!
We got on the road at 11:30 cst. Eating lunch late I'm Alabama. Maybe home before midnight...

Saturday - walking for water
One station was to raise awareness of drinking water issues in the 3rd world - the average person walks 3.7 miles for water daily - most of those are women and children.

Friday - Service in the Lutherdome
Music and dancing, of course, but some brave people speaking, too. Not the least of which is Nobel laureate, Leymah Glowee.
Friday - Practice Discipleship, lunch, wet
After our Practice service, we found lunch and got wet - more flood warnings...

Thursday - dinner and worship
Dinner at Jamba Juice and off to worship with 33,000. Watch along online! The music is great.
The kids are trying to pick which dance to go to after.
Thursday - Practice Justice
We will be helping deconstruct 2 houses. Their removal will help a day care - the materials include heart pine andcypress (up to 200 years old) which will be reused (as flooring, furniture, etc).
In the picture, the daycare is on the left, the houses on the right.
Thursday - at Cafe du Monde, 2nd shift
Everybody else is up now. We'll get some beignets, stroll around some, then off to our service project - "Practice Justice".
Thursday - sunrise
Hannah was the only one i could talk into going to watch the sunrise on the river - we got beignets from Cafe du Monde - mmm, mmm, good.

Wednesday - part 4 - waiting out the storm
After a powerful service with good music and great speakers, we are waiting out a thunderstorm before they will let us leave.
